I was born and raised in Strathmore, Alberta and am a fourth-generation resident of the town. I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University.
I have experience working with children, adults and those with special needs seeking aid in multiple areas. I practice an integrative therapy approach, utilizing techniques found within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy and Art Therapy. I am excited to further my education throughout the next few years and plan to become a Certified Play therapist in the near future.
I am passionate about providing children and youth with early interventions to prepare them for the challenges they may face in their day-to-day lives. I believe that early interventions are important in order for children and teens to thrive in their adult lives. Common challenges may include depression, anxiety, family conflict, behavioural concerns, stress management, grief management, divorce adjustment, and more.
