Which Mental Health provider best suits you? Find out here:
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology and work with youth, young adults, adults, seniors, couples, and families. I also support athletes, first responders, individuals in high-responsibility roles, 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, and individuals with diverse physical and mental abilities.
I support clients navigating sport performance concerns, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, OCD, shame, perfectionism, self-esteem challenges, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, eating disorders, life transitions, personality disorders, sexual health and intimacy concerns, and existential questions. I also have experience supporting individuals facing death and dying, as well as those processing complex life changes and identity development.
My approach is client-centred, collaborative, and strength-based. I prioritize emotional safety, ongoing informed consent, and feedback-informed treatment to ensure clients feel empowered and heard throughout the therapeutic process. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel safe enough to approach their experiences with curiosity and courage. I gently challenge clients to step outside their comfort zones while honouring their pace and autonomy.
My work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practices, mindfulness and somatic-based work, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and play and art-based approaches.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over a decade coaching sport for young girls and working in health and crisis services. My background includes crisis intervention with women and families fleeing domestic violence, as well as case management within youth withdrawal management programs. These experiences continue to inform my grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to care.
Outside of the counselling room, you can find me at the pool with athletes, enjoying nature walks with my dogs, reading, and enjoying perhaps a little too much coffee.
